CAN WE REALLY CHOOSE?
"Harsha stood before the ceremonial fire. She was in the middle of her wedding ceremony. All of a sudden it seemed to Harsha that time stood still and she could look down and observe everything.

She had the very strange senstation that she was living out a destiny; that this day was part of a life that was somehow all set out for her. She would soon have children, she would move to a nice house, she would not do all the tings she had dreamt of but she would have a good life as a mother and then grandmother.

Harsha felt that this was a moment in time that was like part of a stroy that was laready set out for her - it was as if everything had already happened. "

In philosophy this sort of thing is called 'determinsim', which is like fate where you life has been charted out for you. It may sem like you have free will - the capacity to choose among various alternatives - but really this is an illusion.

What do you think?? Answer this quick survey to tell!
