A statement recently came into my hands and i found it quite interesting to read. It was about students and expectations on students in the Australian Education System. The point raised was "If teachers in school can not teach every subject, then why are students expected to learn all of them up to a certain level?" or as quoted in the title. What is your opinion on this statement?
It is proposed that students at a certain level such as y7 should be given the choice of subjects and fields they want to study and be able to move from interest to interest within reason.
