Should chickens be caged
There has been an ongoing dispute about chickens being caged or not. After undergoing some blind tests it has been found that their products e.g. eggs, meat are all similar in taste and it is hard to tell the difference. Free-range and barn eggs are free to roam but are vulnerable to disease so their products are more likely to be unhealthy. On the other hand, caged eggs are put in a small, limited space but disease is not a problem as they are quickly trated so their products are certain to be healthy. Also, caged eggs are fed drugs to grow faster. Should we encourage free-range farmers at our own risk or continue our evil practice of caged-eggs but feel safe about the food we eat?
It is proposed that chickens should not be caged.
