Solitary confinement
Hypothetical case - Scientists have decided to find out more about basic human nature. They take an infant and lock it in a large warehouse type, sound proofed room with no way in or out, no windows and no contact with the outside world. This room has moderated temperatures and lights imitate day and night. The room contains a variety of things - a river running through the room, living trees, dirt, ores of metals, rocks, and other such natural items. The baby is fed until it is old enough to feed itself. That is the only human contact the child ever has. The child never hears a human voice. After that, food is provided through a chute 4 times a day. The scientists monitor the behaviour of this person as they grow up.
They would die.
They would develop a language of some sort.
They would show curiousity, and attempt to find a way out.
They would make clothes.
